About

The Cricketers arms dates back to the early 1800’s under the name of the sportsman until Timothy Taylor brewery bought the pub and changed the name to the Cricketers Arms around 1874, now the Cricketers Arms has seen many changes although popular in the eighties and early nineties the Cricketers arms had become somewhat run down and in October 1998 a small microbrewery under the name of Worth Brewery, bought the pub from Taylors and in 1999 refitted it as a Belgian-style bar with Paris metro tram seats.

Although Worth ceased brewing in 2000, the Cricketers continues to be run by John Mitchell and daughter Victoria followed by Son James. The pub then underwent a further change in 2006, turning the pub into what is now one of Keighley's best and much loved Music venue and Comedy Club, the Tram Seating moved downstairs to the partially covered drinking area, and the main bar has been opened out to better cater for live Music. In addition, on Friday and Saturday evening (8pm) the new cellar bar offers a quieter place to drink and chat as well as different beers to try and real ciders to taste.

The Cricketers arms is a free house, Real Ale pub with Yates Bitter/Moorhouses Premier and up to 6 Guest Ales from around the country such as JW Lees, Ilkley, Wadworth, Titanic, Bullmastiff as well as an outstanding selection of bottle beers from around the world (lindeboom, Erdinger, Duvel, Flying Dog etc..) we also have Becks Vier, Stella Black, Stella Artois, Guinness and Westons Ice Cider on Draught.

The Cricketers arms is always moving forward doing something different and even though we can’t see the Future we do know that the Cricketers will always offer you the best Music, Comedy, and atmosphere at a fair price.

<>Situated on Coney Lane just off East Parade, the Cricketers Arms is one of Keighley's smallest pubs. (For a map of Keighley pubs including the Cricketer's Arms, visit Keighley and Craven CAMRA's web-site.) There is no car parking space, but the pub is no more than 5 minutes walk from Keighley Bus Station and about 6 minutes walk from the Railway Station. There are regular trains to/from Skipton, Leeds and Bradford (all under 30 minutes away) and less frequent trains to/from Carlisle and Lancaster. Travel information can be obtained from West Yorkshire Metro or National Rail Enquiries.
